Economics News

The AS students studying Economics recently went on a lecture trip to the Bank of England, which will help them to see the world of Monetry Policy in a whole new light.

Among the aspects learned was the manipulation of Monetry Levers in controlling inflation, the relationship between the Bank of Endland and Central Government, and some all important historical perspective.

It is fascinating to contemplate that such far reaching economic decisions which effect us all, are made by such a few people, and the study of the process of what goes into the decision making has helped our students focus more clearly on Macroeconomics
