World Book Day Celebrations 13th March

Thursday March 13th will see Addeys celebrate World Book Day

with a whole range of activities for staff and students.

All students will receive their £1.00 book voucher entitling them to select one of the special World Book Day books from the library.

Throughout the day the whole school will be sharing in a special Share-a –Story event with every lesson starting with an extract from Anthony Horowitz’s “The Man with the yellow face.” By the end of the day the whole school will have shared in the same scary story.

Staff will be invited to a special World Book Day tea party to help fundraise and allow students to visit a local bookshop and make their own personal selection of books for the library.

Year 7 students will be invited to use their imagination and dress as a book character with prizes for the best costumes.

There will also be a bookmark design competition and a chance to win a trip to Waterstones.

Watch this space for some photos of the event next month!
