Basketball News

On the 11th March the Year 10 Basketball team travelled to St Michaels Catholic School to take part in their first match.

Expectedly, the game started off tensely  with some apprehension from both teams. As the game progressed both teams increased in confidence and adopted a fast break approach use. We eventually edged the opposition 19-16 although it was a bit too close for comfort.

Although the match was only a friendly it was a massive learning curve for the team. It strengthened team cohesion and provided valuable game experience for the entire squad, however the match highlighted the need to be more clinical and the importance of closing out games.

The future now involves playing stronger teams and building our reputation within the borough.
