Where can Latin lead you?

Year 10 Latin Students had a day out at the invitation of the Classics Department of Cambridge University, accompanied by Mrs Wylde and Mr Davis.

We had a fascinating talk from a professor of Classics and a tour of the Classics museum where there are copies of some of the most famous statues from Ancient  Greece and Rome. We were also shown around Gonville and Caius College by a group of extremely friendly and helpful Cambridge students - one student was from Deptford.

We were also given a delicious lunch in the college in a huge wood panelled dining room, surrounded by portraits of famous people, including Professor Stephen Hawking, who works there. Lunch was generously provided by the college.

Vere inspirata
