Budding musicians visit professional studio

On 27 March 2013, rappers, rockers and singers from years 8 and 9 visited Music Complex to lay down their first tracks in the studio.

With the help of engineer and producer Chris, students learnt about the technicalities of how a professional studio operates as well as entering the booth to record some of the outstanding work which has been produced in their music classes recently.

Whilst at the studio, students had the chance to relax as well as prepare for their performances which, when the red recording light is switched on, had to come up to par!

Staff and students were thrilled with the outcome and another visit is planned for the summer term.
